Planning Backyard Weddings
If your ultimate wedding takes place in
your own backyard, one of the reasons is probably that you have
many of your best memories associated with this place. Having a
wedding at the location will no doubt add another precious
memory associated to this particular place.
It isn't anything too complicated to arrange your yard for
both the ceremony and the wedding reception. Simply set
up one side of the yard for the ceremony, while prepping the
other for the reception. If the yard is smallish in size,
you can place the food table on the opposite side of the yard
from the canopy.
The Wedding Ceremony and Reception
Renting a canopy and folding chairs for the wedding ceremony
should be easy enough. This is essentially all you will need
and thus you will save money, thanks to this you might also
afford to spend more money on decorating for your big day. In
any case, your biggest expense will probably be tulle and
ribbon. If you desire silk flowers too, they can be
rather costly as well.
For backyard weddings, the reception food can be as simple
as cold cuts or even a barbecue. As you can see, this is
a lot more casual than at other weddings. However, since
backyard weddings take place in a familiar place, it is a lot
easier to relax and enjoy your big day.
Things to Consider with Backyard Weddings

Keep in mind that you, unless you heppen to own a huge
estate, will have to have a small wedding ceremony and
reception if you choose to have it in a backyard. Still, nice,
small, intimate backyard weddings have so many benefits to
them. For example, you will not have to spend any worry
on booking the ceremony and reception's location nor will you
have to spend a lot of money or time here either. On the
other hand, backyard weddings allow for you to enjoy the simple
pleasure of decorating the yard.
Backyard weddings also have a lot of other benefits worth
mentioning. Not only are they less expensive so that you
will not have to invest a small fortune in the arrangements but
they are less stressful too. You could even throw a
'decorate for the wedding'party the day before your wedding,
which is a wonderful way to spend time with your closest
friends and family before the big day.
One factor that is really not possible to have under full
control during backyard weddings is the weather. All you can do
(besides hoping for the best) is really to be prepared to move
the whole thing indoors or under canopies, should the weather
not give you it's blessings.
